Deutsches Museum aviation and astronautics exhibition could easily be seen as a separate museum. It has a complete overview of the scientific and technical fields relating to aviation and astronautics within the context of their historic development; 8.000 m² of exhibition space; 1.5 million visitors per year; over 50 original aircraft exhibits ranging from Lilienthal to Airbus. The Aeronautics section holds part of its collection at the 'Flugwerft Schleissheim', with 7,800 m² of exhibition space. see also
