The Armed Forces and Aerospace Museum would replace and expand on the Fairchild Heritage Museum, which was located at Fairchild Air Force Base, but closed five years ago, after which its collection was placed in storage. The planned new facility would be home to an artifact collection of more than 10,000 items, from all branches of the armed services, including 3,000 items currently held by the Spokane Sea Services Museum in the Naval and Marine Corps Reserve Readiness Center, at 5101 N. Assembly.
