Nord Østerdal Fly-og Militærhistorik Forening Hangar-10: The Heart of the Museum

The museum’s main exhibition space, Hangar-10 (H-10), houses more than 1,000 carefully curated items. Among the highlights are:

  • Europe’s only known remains of a German Junkers W-34 aircraft
  • Components from JU-52 and JU-88 bombers
  • Parts of a DFS 230 German transport glider, used in airborne operations
  • Uniforms, instruments, documents, and wartime memorabilia from the 1940s

Each artifact is accompanied by historical context, often with personal stories or local connections. Hangar-10 is more than a static display — it’s a storytelling space that bridges the past with the present.

The Nord Østerdal Fly-og Militærhistorik Forening also collaborates with institutions like the Norwegian Armed Forces Museum, ensuring that the preservation and presentation of these materials meet national historical standards.
