Stinson L-5 Sentinel (PH-FBO) 42-98491 USAAF new addition to Vliegend Seppe Museum, seen on her first landing at Breda International Airport on May 2, 2025.

This Stinson was built in 1943 and commissioned by the U.S. Air Force. In 1949, the aircraft was passed on to the Italian Air Force as MM52839, where it served until 1954. Then the aircraft was sold on the civilian market and flew for various Italian flying clubs as I-AAEP until 1998.

Between 2003 and 2006, the aircraft was restored and until recently flew around Italy as I-VISP.

The owner chose to paint the plane in the colors of the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF), 88th Infantry Division, with serial ’42-98491′. This division had Gorizia, Italy, as its home base at the end of World War II.
