The exhibition at Wilcze Lotnisko is divided into two main sections: Allied Aviation and German Aviation.
The Allied section focuses on the legendary 303 Polish Fighter Squadron, showcasing pilots’ uniforms, flight suits, aviation equipment, and personal items, including an original parachute from 1940.
The German section features original propaganda posters, wartime maps, Luftwaffe uniforms, and various air force artifacts, providing context for the broader air war over Europe. Among the highlights is a replica of a Hawker Hurricane fighter, created as a film prop for the movie “Dywizjon 303”.
Situated close to the Wolf’s Lair complex, Wilcze Lotnisko offers visitors a unique combination of historical and educational experience — connecting the stories of aviation, courage, and wartime history with the powerful symbolism of the surrounding landscape. It stands as a tribute to the Polish airmen and all those who took part in the struggle for freedom during World War II.
