SPAD VII C-1 S.11583 2 Czechoslovakian Air Force
After the World War I Czechoslovakia purchased 140-150 SPADS S-VIIC.1 and S-XIIIC.1, thus became the third largest user of SPADs after the France and USA. This aircraft constriction nr. 11583 was delivered in 1919 to 2nd Air Squadron at Nitra and in 1923 transfered to 6th Air Troop at Vajnory. After military service was purchased by West-Bohemian Aeroclub at Plzen a there flown until 1930 with registration L-BIZL. After WW2 was moved to National Technical Museum and in 1979 to VHU and in 1982-84 restored. | Phil Glover
