Cierva (Avro) C-30 Rota I K4232 RAF
By 1934 the autogyro was sufficiently advanced for the RAF to order a small number of C-30As for evaluation on army co-operation duties. However, by the outbreak of WW2 they had been allocated for use by a highly secret unit engaged on ground radar calibration duties. Avro built the Cierva C.30 under license, naming it the Type 671 Rota I. | Rob Vogelaar
