Folland Gnat T.1 XR977 RAF
A former Red Arrow (1976-79 as Red 3), Derived from the single-seat F1 fighter, the two seat T1 was an advanced flight training aircraft for RAF fast jet pilots in the 1960s and 1970s. Its aerobatic qualities led to the formation of the Yellowjacks aerobatic team in 1964, leading to the foundation of the world famous Red Arrows in 1965, the type serving until 1979 when they were replaced by the BAe Hawk. | Rob Vogelaar
